Wi-Fi in Bluetooth modules for Internet of Things (IoT)

The internet of things or IoT is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals, or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. Increasingly, organizations in a variety of industries are using IoT to operate more efficiently, better understand customers to deliver enhanced customer service, improve decision-making and increase the value of the business.

Our suppliers Wi2Wi, Espressif and Raytac offer certified Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth modules which result in faster development and market availability because they are compliant with industry standards and meet major global regulatory and industry certification requirements. As the world’s leading AIoT platforms (Artificial Intelligence of Things) solutions provide millions of users with secure devices, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connectivity, wireless MESH technology and artificial intelligence – voice interaction, face recognitions, data management and "Edge" computing.

Wi-Fi modules

Our Wi-Fi modules are designed specifically for the high duty-cycle devices needing to operate for years with little or no maintenance.

The IoT Espressif app is a smartphone platform that allows you to develop mobile solutions with local and remote control of Wi-Fi devices such as smart lights and smart plugs. The app is opensource and can be found on Githubu

Wi-Fi modul ESP8266 (Espressif)

Main features of ESP8266 module

  • Cost effective: with integrated Wi-Fi MCU (microcontroller) for IoT applications.

  • Reliable: wide operating temperature ranges from -40 °C to 125 °C.

  • Compact QFN32-pin (5 mm x 5 mm): ESP8266EX contains all components in one chip - SoC (System on Chip) - 32-bit processor Tensilica, standard digital peripheral interfaces, antenna switches, RF balancer, power amplifier, low-noise receiver, filters and power management modules.

  • Low power consumption: the energy saving architecture allows 3 modes of operation (active mode, sleep mode, deep sleep mode), with which the modules work longer.

  • 32-bit Tensilica processor: ESP8266EX microcontroller combines 32-bit RISC processor Tensilica L106, which achieves extremely low power consumption and achieves maximum clock speed 160 MHz. 80 % of the processing power is dedicated to programming and developing user applications.
